biography / write-up tracks on Free Library Music™

Growing up in a musical family in London, Amor was the youngest student accepted to the Royal Academy of Music. After winning numerous competitions for the violin, he continued his studies at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He then continued studies at the University of Southern California with the world renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz.

Amor combines his training in violin, viola, piano, and composition in his music and performs every instrument and track on his recordings. He has performed in Europe, the Soviet Union, India, and Canada, as well as several performances at Carnegie Hall. One critic wrote, "Amor thrilled the audience with the sheer brilliance of his interpretation."

Amor performs on a variety of instruments including an 1815 Gagliano violin, a Zeta violin, viola and electronic synthesizers. He combines his classical training in violin, viola, piano, and composition in his music and performs every instrument and track on his recordings. He has performed in Europe, the Soviet Union, India, and Canada, as well as several performances at Carnegie Hall. His virtuosity is hailed by critics and the public alike.

Amor currently has three collections of his music, all available on CD. Amor (1999) is a new age musical journey into deep consciousness. Celtic Ayre (1999) is a collection of traditional Celtic music, rendered with flair and stirring emotion. Trilogy (2001) is a complex voyage of interplay between Amor's Zeta violin and electronic synthesizers.
