Description
This piece is a beautiful arrangement of the old hymn "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." It's based on an old Celtic melody that was written hundreds of years before the lyrics were added. As such, this piece in its instrumental sections can be easily used for both secular and sacred settings.
It begins with solo Uilliean pipes (River Dance) playing the melody with drones. Following, a soprano then sings the enchanting melody and lyrics with orchestral and folk instrument backup. A sweeping orchestral and uillean pipe interlude then brings in the second stanza. The piece ends with Uillean pipes again toning its lavish passion.
Ideal for religious backgrounds or on-screen music, this piece adds a definitive emotion to any scene. It is also ideal for "Titanic" type moods or seascapes. It can be easily used for romance or other emotionally driven scenes. It's also useful in Irish moments.

Amazing... Really... what a feeling it has..... Titanic is the perfect feel for this piece..... Could be used during pain and suffering but to add a element that God is in control still... That there is hope even is despair.... Edning with triumph in the midst of agony.
Wow, what a peice!!! I love just listening to the song as well for entertainment. |
